The Flamingo Bag draws from Susa Jean’s photographs of flamingos, translated by Richmond Parakhen into a repeating black-and-white pattern that shifts between image and abstraction. Their forms ripple across the surface, echoing the ideas of reflection, perception, and repetition that move throughout Still, in Reverie.
Designed as an extension of the exhibition, the bag brings those ideas into something meant to be carried and lived with. Its oversized knot silhouette gives it a sculptural quality, while the repeating flamingos reveal themselves differently depending on how the fabric folds, moves, and rests against the body.
More than a functional piece, it is intended as a small continuation of the work itself—something that allows the imagery of Still, in Reverie to leave the gallery and become part of the wearer’s everyday rhythm.
